PrePass® is the leading and most utilized weigh station bypass platform in North America. PrePass helps qualified commercial motor carriers stay on schedule and safely bypass inspection facilities at highway speeds. This includes over 630,000 commercial vehicles utilizing PrePass services based on their safety compliance and up-to-date credentials.
PrePass offers bypass choices including the PrePass transponder and MOTION™ bypass app. PrePass services also include electronic toll payment, INFORM™ Safety and Tolling software and in-cab driver safety ALERTS™. PrePass saves carriers time, fuel and money and helps government agencies improve highway safety by focusing on at-risk carriers. PrePass also provides INFORM data to help both carriers and government pinpoint areas of operational improvement on the road and at the weigh station.
PrePass is an endorsed featured product of the American Trucking Associations ATA) and is also endorsed by the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA), Truckers Service Association (TSA), National Association of Small Trucking Companies (NASTC) and state trucking associations across the country.
Services are offered through PrePass Safety Alliance, a non-profit public-private partnership focused on commercial transportation safety and efficiency. The Alliance was formed in 1993 by trucking industry leaders, enforcement agencies and state DOTs to improve the safety and efficiency of the trucking industry. The organization’s Board of Directors is comprised of an equal number of industry and government representatives to ensure that services are balanced between safety and efficiency. To date, the Alliance has invested more than $700 million nationwide to deploy services to improve safety, reduce truck-related emissions and preserve highway infrastructure.
